Description
Most modern gyms use a “dual” machine that can perform both exercises.
Leg Extension: Targets the quadriceps (front of the thigh). You sit and push the padded bar upward until your legs are straight.
Leg Curl: Targets the hamstrings (back of the thigh). Depending on the model, you either sit and pull the bar down behind your ankles or lie face-down and curl the bar toward your glutes.This is typically referred to as a Tricep Extension machine.
Target: The triceps (back of the upper arm).
Function: You sit with your elbows braced on a pad and push the handles downward or outward until your arms are fully extended. This isolates the triceps more effectively than compound movements like push-ups.
